The Old Fashioned

MADISON, Wisconsin - The second place I stopped at was The Old Fashioned by the Capitol. A friend and I went to the restaurant after walking around the farmer's market that happens every Saturday from mid-April to mid-October around the capitol.

The restaurant was busy because of the farmer's market, but my friend and I got a table by the window. From there we had an excellent view of the capitol building.

The fried cheese curds from The Old Fashioned was one of the highest and most voted restaurants from the people I surveyed. My friend and I ordered the fried cheese curds with roasted garlic dip. These cheese curds had a delicate breading with gooey cheese in the center.

Overall, these curds are one of my favorite fried cheese curds. They are consistently excellent.
